DECAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before you start, clean the area you are applying the decal to with a non-ammonia based cleaner.

  • There are 3 parts to your decal and they are the transfer paper, the vinyl decal and the backing paper(image 1)

  • Position the decal on the area where you will be installing it(image 2)

  • Once you have it positioned where you want it, place a piece of masking tape horizontally along the top of the decal creating a hinge(image 3)

  • Lift the decal up and carefully remove the backing paper(decal will stick to the transfer paper, not the backing paper)(image 4)

  • Slowly lower the transfer paper with the decal to the surface you are applying it to. Next, take a credit card(or something similar) and rub the transfer paper all over where the decal is making sure the decal is sticking to the surface(image 5 & 6)

  • You can now remove the masking tape hinge and begin to peel the transfer paper from the decal. To do this, lift a corner of the transfer paper and begin to peel it back from the surface at a 45 degree angle(image 7)

  • Once the transfer paper is completely removed, the installation of your decal is complete(image 8) Congratulations!

Some tips to help you with your decal installation.

  1.  Your decal can be installed on the inside surface of a window, but only if it has NO COPY. If you do install it on the inside of your window and you have copy, the copy will read backwards from the outside.

2. If you have dark tinted windows and you install your decal on the inside surface, the decal will be hard to see from the outside due to the dark tint.

3. I do not recommend installing your decal in cold temperatures. If you do, I suggest using a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the surface first. This will help activate the adhesive on the decal.

4. If you notice any bubbles(air trapped under the vinyl) in your decal after you peel back the transfer paper, that is normal. You can leave alone and once the adhesive is activated the bubbles will disappear. If they do not or the bubbles are large, you can take a pin and puncture the bubble and work the air out with your thumb.
